Lost Links, Wanted Links and Ghost Sites Page

Link Categories:     Blue Streak - Transcript        Romance to Reality        Alternative History Sites        Contributor Info Wanted

   << Main Links Page

Note: At time of writing, it is now six years since Stephen O'Brien last updated the site on Geocities. This has meant that some of the Websites he listed on the Links Page have gone, others have become ghost sites moribund and/or subsumed) into other sites. Finally several important contributors never had a listed link and I have been unable discover any current information.

Lost Link: Blue Streak - Transcript of a T.V. documentary by Border Television
I hope to be able to recover this once this site goes live by contacting: Border Television . But while the site is still very much under construction, it would not be appropriate to make a formal request.

Ghost Site: Romance to Reality: Moon & Mars plans
David S.F. Portee retired his site which had been running since August 1996, on the 8th July 2006. The Mars Institute has a page by David explaining the demise of Romance to Reality:
Romance to Reality retirement information on Mars Institute Site
his includes a link to his Personal Site which was on AOL Hometown, which closed down in October 2008!

Alternative History Sites
Stephen O'brien had a section on the Link Page of the GeoCities version of this site entitled Alternative History:
The first of the sites listed was Petranodon's View: Until the Closure of GeoCities this continued to exist, but only a shadow of its former self.

The second Site was: Unachronia - A detailed Alternate History bibliography and this has disappeared completely.

Contributor Information Required

Darren Carruthers: A major contributor to this Site and indeed a major source of Pictures from Woomera for a number of important sites on British Missiles and Rockets.
He used to run his own site on the Woomera Rocket & Missiles park, and the Woomera Village. This has disappeared. Any information on how to contact Darren would be much appreciated, so please:

Ross Simmons: Although only contributing one picture to this Site, it is an important one as it is of the first stage of the Black Arrow rocket which launched Prospero in 1971. Agin any contact information would be appreciated, so please

Unknown Contributors: Whilst the Main Links Page includes links to Organisations and People who have pictures, or images that have been attributed, (with the exception of Darren Carruthers and Ross Simmons covered above) a very large number of photographs and images, have no Attribution of any kind!

This is NOT a situation I am comfortable with and would much appreciate the artists, photographers, or copyright holders contacting me to resolve these attribution problems:

IMPORTANT NOTE:
This is a technically updated version of the site as it was Hosted on GeoCities. Yahoo closed GeoCities on the 26th October, and this site needed to be protected from being lost (although the some of the site has been archived by: Internet Archive GeoCities Project Team it is incomplete).

As all efforts to contact Stephen O'Brien have so far been without result, I have taken the unusual step of mirroring the content, whilst making technical updates. Obviously without Stephen O'Brien's involvement this is not an acceptable long term solution. To assist in this, or to make comments on the site please
